After the first acquaintance with the oldest university in Sweden and the whole Scandinavia, the participants of Study Tour began to study the latest developments in online education.
” The second day of the Study Tour started with the presentation of research findings on best practices in delivering online courses for CSOs and the needs assessment report. The afternoon session was devoted to the presentation of Uppsala University experiences. The educators Mr. Mats Cullhed and Mr. Geir Gunnlaughsson shared their insights into technical alternatives and opportunities, infrastructural needs and user support in online educational programs. The session took place in a high-tech interactive room equipped with cutting edge technology.” – notes the manager of the Web Academy Nelli Asmatullaeva.

The University of Uppsala – the oldest university in Sweden and Scandinavia. It was founded in 1477. For centuries, it is one of the most influential educational institutions in Europe. It has 9 faculties, where 20,000 students study annually and 2,000 researchers work. The annual budget is about $ 715 million, 60% of resources goes to support master’s and doctoral programs. The university is famous for its library with rare editions, a numismatic collection, a botanical garden with a museum, a collection of paintings and a collection of minerals.
All these days the participants of the Study Tour, these are the developers of online courses from Central Asia and Azerbaijan, are receiving intensive training on designing distance learning programs. The Study Tour is organized by ARGO in the framework of “Partnership for Innovation – P4I” program.
