The main block of the work of #inlab2017 Media and Social Innovations Lab was dedicated to speeches made by speakers and experts in the area of new approaches to NGO activity and subsequent speakers – participants’ interaction. The audience was divided into temporary working groups that were to propose a working project that would have an innovative component as its mandatory condition.
Broad understanding of innovations not only as new technologies, but the most important thing – as new approaches, a new insight into the old issue, introduction of new experience from other spheres – it is exactly this view of the projects for civil society that experts fostered in participants. The following professionals in the area of social projects promotion took the floor and provided assistance in project development to participants:
Philipp Reichmuth, International Expert
Philipp is an expert in management and organizational development. He has a PhD in Islamic studies (Germany) and is a certified specialist in the area of system organizational development in the intercultural context. He works as a consultant in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan both in scientific research and in the area of international development.
Saniya Arapova, Kazakhstan. Vice President of ALE “Tel Aviv University Friends Association in the Republic of Kazakhstan”
She runs the office of the Tel Aviv University Friends Association in Kazakhstan. She initiated such projects as Makeathone “ТОМ: Kazakhstan” and “Creation of Youth Entrepreneurship Ecosystem among Students” project, both being already in progress. The projects are aimed at developing entrepreneurial education and social entrepreneurship.
Zulfiya Abdukhalikova, Kazakhstan. Program Director of Reach for Change Kazakhstan, Coordinator of the Urban Forum Almaty researches
She is an organizer of environmental and social projects of RPA Posadiderevo.kz, co-founder and thought leader of projects: О’Gorod, Color Marathon Yarkocross, Ecocross, etc. She graduated from the Lomonosov Moscow State University and Clemson University, South Carolina, USA.
Yelena Israfilova, Azerbaijan. Program Director of UAFA (United AidFor Azerbaijan)
A leading specialist in the area of early childhood development. Over 16 years Yelena has been an employee of UAFA, an organization rendering assistance to disabled children and dealing with the issues of education, healthcare and social protection development.
Dinara Kanybekkyzy, Kyrgyzstan. Specialist in Applied Urban Science
Since 2014 she has worked in the sphere of urban science. She coordinated projects on organizing urban local communities. In 2016 she was a coordinator of pilot educational program “Applied Urban Science School” in cooperation with the Applied Urban Science Centers Network, Russia. She supervised integrated analysis of 5 small towns of Kyrgyzstan in the framework of preparation for the City Forum.
Rano Djumayeva, Tajikistan. Director of PO “Cultural – Educational Center “Tomiris”
Director and founder of Public Organization “Cultural – Educational Center “Tomiris”. She has extensive experience in arranging the social work with vulnerable women and children with disabilities. Since 2011 she has become a director of Public Organization “Cultural – Educational Center “Tomiris”. A member of the CIS Youth Interparliamentary Assembly (2012), member of the Public Council of Khatlon Region. She is one of the co-founders of the Young Womens’ Capacity Development Coalition (2017).
Arthur Sarkisov, Kyrgyzstan. Program Coordinator of “Civic Participation” Foundation
He has been in the NGO sector since the year of 2003. After he had started his activity as a volunteer, he later worked as an HIV consultant and drug addiction prevention among children living and working in streets in 2005-2007. From 2011 to 2012 he was a chairman of the Coordination Council of PO “Y-PEER Kyrgyzstan Youth Peer Education Network”. He conducted more than 50 organizational diagnostics/audits.
Anna Tadjimuratova, Kazakhstan
She is a founder, General Director of the first successful Baribirge.kz crowdfunding platform, a recognized expert on crowdfunding, speaker experienced in participating in such big conferences as “NGO Sustainability Forum” and “Colisium International Music Convention”. At present, she takes great efforts toward developing crowdfunding in our society that will allow today’s activists finding a worthy alternative of grants, loans, credits and sponsorship.
Sokhiba Rakhimova, Coordinator of the “Partnership for Innovations” Project, IPO “Fidokor”
One of the founders and members of the Board of International Public Organization “Fidokor”. Over a number of years she has worked in governing structures of the Tajikistan Children and Youth Union. She is one of the co-founders of the Tajikistan Adult Education Association, and was elected a Chairperson of the Board from 2010 to 2013. She was elected a member of the working group on the development of the state adult educational concept under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. Managed a series of Fidokor large-scale projects and programs.
Gulim Amirkhanova, Kazakhstan. Regional Editor of Internews
Gulim is an outstanding specialist and experimenter in the area of multimedia content. She dealt with the development of modern websites for mass media and NGOs using multimedia technologies. Hundreds of journalists were trained at her workshops and webinars. Gulim shared her experience in engaging the audience in content resources.
The fruitful work of the Lab’s participants for two days, consultations with experts allowed them generating new ideas and projects which will further on be implemented for the good of society.
